“I worked with Miss Moshongwa Matsena at the South African Broadcasting Corporation between 1995 and 2019, but it was in the period between June 2014 and December 2015 during her stint as Thobela FM station manager where we established a very strong working relationship. In the same period, I discovered how passionate she is about what she does. She is a hard worker, a perfectionist. Lazy people can mistakenly describe her as a slave driver, but she only wants the best out of her team. I particularly remember how she joined Thobela FM at the time when the station was going through rebranding and repositioning processes. She had to hit the ground running. The rebranding also involved organising multiple build up events before the main one which was held at Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane.
Her hard work and passion saw brand Thobela FM growing in leaps in bounds in terms of audiences and revenue. It was through her leadership and strong networking capabilities that saw the station’s stakeholder network and advertising book increasing. Even though we are no longer working for the same organisation, she continues to give me great ideas that are meant to help me to grow. One thing that I miss is her endearing quality. Mosh can easily adapt in any environment
