Duration: 3-month probation, and thereafter contract-based with an opportunity for growth
Our client in the sports industry requires the services of an administrator to handle day-to-
day administration for the business. This position offers the opportunity for growth within the
company, dependant on work performance.

Duties:

  • Administration duties as required
  • Travel arrangements (travel, accommodation etc.) – local, pan-African and interna
  • Collecting / transporting documents, marketing collateral and other items
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Purchasing of stock, stationery and marketing collateral. Receiving deliveries
  • Managing of stock and marketing supplies (including banners and other collateral)
  • Reconciliation of procurement paperwork (delivery notes, invoices etc.)
  • Data capture for various needs
  • Assisting with drawing up budgets (for events, travel etc.)
  • Scheduling meetings (both internal and external) and handle related logistics
  • Taking minutes at meetings (where necessary)
  • Drafting of content (emails, newsletters, simple press releases etc.)
  • Handling membership arrangements and queries
  • Accountable for record keeping, filing, binding, photocopying and related tasks,
  • including contracts and other confidential documents
  • Assist with marketing needs as required
  • Assist with event planning needs as required
  • Other tasks / ad hoc duties as required

Required Skills & Personal Traits

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Relevant certificate, Diploma or Degree in Secretarial Studies / Office Management /
  • Administration advantageous
  • Valid driver’s licence and own car
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Polite and well presented, good telephone etiquette
  • Able to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Adherence to confidentiality needs
  • Able to adhere to deadlines
  • Willingness to assist the team as needed
